Sliding Scale (Income-Based) Program

IntraSpectrum Counseling is committed to making therapy accessible and affordable. Our Sliding Scale Program helps us offer individual, relationship, family, and group therapy at a reduced fee based on income for qualifying individuals, making affirming mental health services possible for people who might not otherwise be able to access them.

Individuals who do not have any medical insurance or who have Medicaid or Medicare are eligible to apply for a sliding scale fee based upon their total household income and expenses.

Please note that submitting an application to participate in our Sliding Scale Program during our client intake process does not guarantee a sliding scale fee.

Individual, Relationship & Family Therapy

  • Individuals without medical insurance or with Medicaid/Medicare
  • Approval is for 48 sessions
  • May reapply up to two times for an additional 24 sessions subject to clinical review
  • Tiered fee structure based on total household income to expenses: $50, $75, $100, $125, $150
  • Must submit financial worksheet for sliding scale fee tier/eligibility evaluation every 6 months

Group Therapy

  • Individuals without medical insurance or with Medicaid/Medicare
  • Specific therapy groups are reserved for sliding scale participants only (click here for our Group Therapy Program)
  • Applicants apply for a specific therapy group of their choice
  • No cap on the number of groups a participant may apply for
  • Tiered fee structure based on total household income to expenses: $25 & $0 (pro bono)

Please note that all sliding scale participants must re-submit a Worksheet / Application every 6 months for continued eligibility verification purposes. Additionally, if a sliding scale participant obtains medical insurance (other than Medicaid or Medicare), the participant is no longer eligible for a sliding scale fee. Participants may be approved for more than one sliding scale program (such as individual and group therapy or participation in multiple groups) at the same time based on demonstrated financial need.

If you don’t have medical insurance or have Medicaid or Medicare and are interested in therapy, submit our inquiry form to start the intake process.
