IntraSpectrum Counseling and all of our team members are committed to making therapy accessible and affordable. Our Sliding Scale and Reduced Rate Programs, detailed below, help us offer individual, relationship and group therapy for qualifying individuals, making affirming mental health services possible for people who might not otherwise be able to access them. To get started with therapy, simply submit an Inquiry Form and indicate you’re interested in Sliding Scale / Reduced Rate. Our Client Services Team will contact you to review your information and confirm eligibility.
Sliding Scale Program
The goal of our Sliding Scale Program is to provide services and resources to those most at need in our community. We accept a limited number of clients into the Sliding Scale Program. Our current sliding scale fees are below:
- Individual Therapy: $60 per session
- Family & Relationship Therapy: $60 per session
- Group Therapy:
- Group Evaluation: $60 per session
- Group Sessions: $30 per session
Individuals automatically qualifying for our Sliding Scale Program:
- Medicaid
- Medicare
- SNAP
- WIC
- TANF
- CHIP
- Minors in Foster Care

Reduced Rate Program
Our Reduced Rate Program allows us to provide additional services to individuals at rates below the full market rate cost of our services:
- Masters Therapist
- Individual Therapy: $115 per session
- Family & Relationship Therapy: $140 per session
- Group Evaluation: $115 per session
- Group Therapy: $60 per session
- Doctoral Therapist
- Individual Therapy: $140 per session
- Family & Relationship Therapy: $160 per session
- Group Evaluation: $140 per session
- Group Therapy: $60 per session
Individuals with TRICARE/CHAMPUS automatically qualify for our Reduced Rate Program.
The following individuals qualify for our Reduced Rate Program if their household income is equal to, or less than, 100% of the Area Median Income for Chicago (click here for AMI chart):
- All family & relationship therapy clients regardless of insurance
- Individuals with no insurance
- Individuals who have out-of-network insurance with no out-of-network benefits
Please note:
- We do not accept insurance for family or relationship therapy. Anyone seeking family or relationship therapy who meets the Reduced Rate Program’s household income requirements will receive a reduced rate fee.
- Individuals seeking individual or group therapy who have out-of-network insurance that has out-of-network benefits do not qualify for our Reduced Rate Program. IntraSpectrum Counseling will submit your claims using your out-of-network benefits.

On Lesbian Visibility Day, we celebrate lesbians and show solidarity with all LGBTQ+ women and non binary people in our community. Lesbian visibility has evolved immensely over the last 2 decades, especially in the music industry. Representation and visibility has the potential to instill hope and provide affirmation of identities which were once vilified or erased from our culture. In a world that continues to be hostile to sexual and gender minorities, having awareness of safe and affirming lesbian and queer adults is paramount for maintaining hope of a life beyond the closet.
