Psychotherapy Groups

IntraSpectrum Counseling Therapy Groups provide safe & affirming spaces for clients to share their stories with others, make connections, receive support, learn new skills, and experience a sense of belonging, security and visibility. Insurance accepted, Sliding Scale and Reduced Rate eligible, or $60/session OOP. We accept Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Choice, & Cigna PPO plans.

Queer Grief Process Group

• Sundays, September 8-October 27, 2024
• 8 sessions, 9:00am – 10:30am
• In-Person @Clark / Andersonville

The Queer Grief Process Group is a therapy group for members of the LGBTQ+ community (18+) who are looking for support in grieving a loss. The group adopts an expansive definition of loss, allowing for members to process the loss of communities, friendships, family members, identity, or even the loss of life. Participants in this group will have identified a goal related to living with loss, such as finding ways to accept emotions of sadness/grief and improving self-care and finding satisfaction in the relationships and communities they currently have. Participants can expect sessions to focus on building self-awareness around their current emotions and validating one’s own and other’s experiences.

This group may be a good fit for you if you live with some / all of the following concerns:
Issues Stemming from Loss • Anxiety • Depression • Shame • Relationship Struggles • Isolation • Work Issues • Self-Love/Self-Esteem • Stress • Rejection

DBT Skills Group

• Sundays, September 8-October 27, 2024
• 8 sessions, 11:00am – 12:30pm
• In-Person @Clark / Andersonville

The DBT Skills Group is a therapy group for anyone in the community (18+) looking to find new ways of coping with life’s stressors and “building a life worth living.” Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidenced-based approach using talk therapy, building awareness, and the appropriate application of skills to help us accept what is not in our control and change what is. Participants will have identified goals around building skill sets that improve their ability to be present, tolerate distress, improve interpersonal relationships, and manage intense emotions. Participants can expect to learn a new skill each week, practice, and personalize that skill to their everyday life.

This group may be a good fit for you if you live with some / all of the following concerns:
Mood Swings • Anxiety • Depression • Shame • Relationship Struggles • Isolation • Work Issues • Self-Love/Self-Esteem • Stress • Rejection
