I believe that our early experiences and unconscious beliefs can shape how we relate to ourselves and others—and that these patterns sometimes leave us feeling stuck, anxious, or in pain. Through therapy, we can explore these dynamics with curiosity and compassion, helping you gain insight and freedom from behavior and thinking that no longer serves you. I bring a deep understanding of trauma, self-protection, and systemic oppression to this work. My goal is to offer an empowering, affirming space, especially for LGBTQ+ folks and those from other marginalized identities as well. I take a person-centered approach, working collaboratively and respectfully with my clients to support their self-understanding, self-acceptance, and growth.
In sessions, I strive to create a warm, safe, and affirming space where clients can feel seen and heard. I take time to build genuine connection, mutual understanding, and trust. Together, we’ll explore your concerns and history—gently and at your pace—bringing unconscious patterns into awareness and developing more helpful ways of relating to yourself and others. I view therapy sessions as a collaborative, conversational process. I bring my training, experience, and presence; you bring your expertise in your own life. I work interactively, valuing back and forth exchange of ideas between myself and my clients. Over time, I pay close attention to learning your underlying needs and help you tune in to them as well. I use non-shaming, strengths-based, and trauma-informed language and approaches, honoring your resilience and individuality at every step and helping you to see your talents and gifts.

IntraSpectrum Counseling unequivocally denounces the recent surge in anti-transgender rhetoric and the scapegoating of transgender people in the aftermath of recent shootings. Such rhetoric is baseless and deeply harmful, fostering stigma, discrimination, and potential violence against an already marginalized community. We stand firmly with transgender and nonbinary individuals, and reaffirm our commitment to providing affirming, compassionate, and inclusive care. We urge community leaders, media outlets, and the public to reject misinformation and prejudice, and to work collectively toward equity, dignity, and justice for all people. Click to read more.
