Denouncing the Federal Attacks on our Communities & Freedom

By January 30, 2025February 20th, 2025No Comments

As an LGBTQ+ mental health practice, we feel it’s important to our mission and values to denounce the recent targeted and hateful actions by the new administration and speak out in support of our queer and minority communities. During these divisive times, we pledge to remain a source of affirming and validating support.

IntraSpectrum Counseling is appalled at the priorities and actions of this administration. It’s abundantly clear that the federal government is on the attack and that the rights, safety, and very lives of LGBTQ+ and minority communities are in jeopardy. We unapologetically denounce these deliberate actions that seek to harm the most vulnerable, particularly those among us who are Black, Brown, Indigenous, trans and non-binary. We stand firmly with our queer & BIPOC communities, and the millions of Americans who support equal rights for all citizens. We will continue to offer affirming support, provide resources, advocate for systemic change and foster spaces of safety and empowerment. Our resistance will not waver, and we are not going anywhere.

We recognize these initiatives are triggering to many, and that looming SCOTUS rulings and potential Project 2025 initiatives are adding to peoples’ levels of uncertainty & distress. For anyone needing affirming and validating support, we encourage you to reach out to us or another trusted source in your community. We pledge to remain a beacon of hope. Let’s take good care of each other.
