I believe therapy is a safe place for you to explore all parts of yourself. Being a human is hard sometimes, and through therapy, we can develop a more grounded connection to ourselves, which impacts how we relate to others and the world around us. I take into consideration your lived experiences and identities as central to your well-being and psychological health.
I approach my therapeutic work from a relational perspective. Through my trauma-informed lens, I first prioritize clients’ own self/body as a place of safety and groundedness. Additionally, I hold space for clients to have a deeper understanding of themselves and who they are in the world. I have a passion for queer and trans-focused therapy, and actively brings curiosity towards the ways in which identities intersect to create your own unique experience in the world. I also have a passion for working with trauma survivors, and use the safety of the therapeutic relationship to promote safety in individuals’ selves. I readily use mindfulness and body-based interventions when working with trauma and am an EMDR-trained therapist.
I attempt to lead with love in my work, and utilize a blend of self-compassion and accountability to help clients grow and work towards their goals for therapy. I am known by my clients to be both kind and direct in service towards their healing. I believe that therapy should be tailored to each individual and will work collaboratively with each client to set goals and assess progress in order to meet each client’s needs.
