PHILOSOPHY

My foundational approach to therapy comes from a narrative and strength-based perspective where the space that we create together honors and integrates your past, present, and your visions for your future in a way that allows you to just be and sets the stage for creating change in your life. I also rely on an integrative approach that draws from a variety of theories such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness to provide you with tools that help you to mend, transform and shift the things in your life that are not working for you. I believe that the many intersectional identities that we hold impact the ways that we move through the world. Building a therapeutic space collaboratively that holds and recognizes both of us as complex and layered humans is a core part of my approach.

THERAPY WITH ME

The core of our work together will be collaborative in creating a treatment plan that will meet your goals. It is very important to me to be constantly holding the position of learner, both from you as the expert in your own life story, from my professional therapeutic community, and the many sources of knowledge in this world. With my therapeutic approach I lead first with compassion and strive to establish stability and consistency throughout sessions with structure but also openness and flexibility to integrate life’s constant change into our work together.
