PHILOSOPHY

I bring three values into each session to guide my approach: adaptability, curiosity, and unconditional compassion. To me, curiosity means putting side judgment and assumptions to first ask questions and gently explore. Adaptability means accepting new information as it is provided and integrating it into my perspective. It means changing my approach when the first attempt isn’t working, and meeting the client where they are rather than where I expect them to be. Unconditional compassion to me means believing every single person who chooses to show up as a client is entitled to empathy and support. I hold the perspective that the past is relevant to drawing meaning and gleaning insight, but not to judge character. As human beings, we are flawed and mistakes are inevitable. I believe judgment and shame only serve to stunt our ability to grow and change.

THERAPY WITH ME

In a session, my clients can expect a compassionate combination of non-judgement and gentle directness. I believe in the healing power of tears as much as I do laughter. I’m motivated by the belief that as human beings, we find peace, joy, and purpose in working hard to be the best versions of ourselves. This means contending with our limited perspectives, our past mistakes, and our emotional wounds in order to develop empathy and acceptance for ourselves and others. I’m kink-informed, pro-sex work, and familiar with polyamorous and nontraditional relationship structures.
