Dr. Reese Minshew values warmth, connection, and authenticity in all relationships, including therapeutic relationships. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Staff Therapist at IntraSpectrum Counseling, Reese works with adults, adolescents, and families on challenges related to issues of intersectional identity, symptoms related to traumatic stress (including childhood maltreatment and community violence), and managing chronic illness. Reese frequently works with transgender and gender nonconforming people of all ages, including children, and approaches options about hormones and/or surgeries from within an informed consent mode.
Reese obtained a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research, an institution that is known for its commitment to social justice and inclusion. Challenging structural oppression is central to Reese’s clinical work, as are attunement, empathy, and joy.
