Dr. Jess Miller values the therapy room as a place free of judgment. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Intraspectrum, Jess works with individuals of all ages looking to heal through exploration of past experiences to better understand present patterns and behaviors. Curiosity, humor, and compassion are central to her work.
Jess has a deep respect for the healing process that ensues when people can gain comfort in expressing their thoughts and feelings without inhibition in the therapy room. She is a firm believer that a person will feel safest doing so when they are comfortable with the human sitting across from them. Jess is an active and collaborative therapist and challenges clients to wonder about their own behaviors to increase insight and understanding. Areas of specialty include gender identity, grief and loss, romantic relationships, and queer intersectionality. Jess is especially passionate about working with artists and other creatives.
Prior to joining IntraSpectrum, Jess worked at the Rhode Island School of Design’s counseling center. She has also trained as a therapist at Center on Halsted and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond and her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
