Elizabeth Klicker-Nicklay is a staff therapist at IntraSpectrum Counseling, providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process with the client and recognizes that each client brings their own unique set of needs and experiences. Elizabeth focuses on providing a safe, supportive environment so clients feel free to explore, heal, and grow. She takes an integrated theoretical approach, incorporating a solid foundation in Psychodynamic, Humanisitic/Existential, Cognitive-Behavioral, and LGBTQ-affirming therapies.
Elizabeth has experience working with a variety of clients with very diverse backgrounds. Elizabeth’s areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, trauma, gender and sexual identity concerns, grief and loss, and Borderline Personality disorder.
Elizabeth earned her MA from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has been a fellow at The Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis. Her clinical training was at Community Counseling Centers of Chicago working with clients who experienced interpersonal trauma, childhood abuse, and domestic violence. Elizabeth has volunteered her time with Rape Victim Advocates serving as a medical advocate/crisis counselor.
