IntraSpectrum Counseling Therapy Groups provide safe & affirming spaces for clients to share their stories with others, make connections, receive support, learn new skills, and experience a sense of belonging, security and visibility. See  details below & submit an inquiry form to get started. Insurance accepted, Sliding Scale and Reduced Rate eligible, or $60/session OOP. We accept Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Choice, & Cigna PPO plans.

Celebrating Neurodivergence Support Group

 

• Saturdays, June 15 – August 10, 2024
• 8 Sessions, 4:00pm – 5:30pm
• NO meeting July 6
• In-Person @Clark / Andersonville

For adults (18+) who identify as neurodivergent / neurodiverse (with or without an official diagnosis), and who are looking for a safe & affirming space in which to build community and exist outside neurotypical norms. Members will increase self-understanding and learn new skills related to surviving and thriving in a world designed for neurotypical people. The Group will focus on translating neurotypical communication, building interpersonal and executive functioning skills, and exploring the ways we cope in a neurotypical world. The Group will emphasize inclusivity and mutual respect, and welcomes folks with ADHD, ASD / Autistic folks, sensory processing disorders, dyslexia / dyscalculia / hyperlexia / dysgraphia / dyspraxia / tics, and people who experience symptoms of neurodivergence even without an official diagnosis.

Healthy Queer Relationships Process Group

 

• Sundays, June 16 – August 11, 2024
• 8 Sessions, 9:00am – 10:30am
• NO meeting July 7
• In-Person @Clark / Andersonville

For members of the LGBTQ+ community (18+) looking to build confidence in their abilities to make, maintain, and improve relationships. Finding your way and building relationships in the queer community can be a daunting task for most LGBTQ+ people. This group aims to support members who identified an interpersonal goal that they’d like to address, such as forming and maintaining friendships, improving their capacity for closeness with others, and fostering healthy relationships. This is not a couples therapy group; you also do not need to be in an intimate relationship to join. Sessions will include the space to process and support one another, as well as, learning and personalizing skills rooted in DBT, ACT, and CBT in improving interpersonal effectiveness. The perfect opportunity to center yourself before heading to brunch!

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group

 

• Sundays, June 16 – August 11, 2024
• 8 Sessions, 11:00am – 12:30pm
• NO meeting July 7
• In-Person @Clark / Andersonville

For anyone in the community (18+) looking to find new ways of coping with life’s stressors and “building a life worth living.” Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidenced-based approach using talk therapy, building awareness, and the appropriate application of skills to help us accept what is not in our control and change what is. Participants will have identified goals around building skill sets that improve their ability to be present, tolerate distress, improve interpersonal relationships, and manage intense emotions. Participants can expect to learn a new skill each week, practice, and personalize that skill to their everyday life.
